Guide to shipping your car overseas

Updated: Apr 24, 2020

Step 1 – Choose a Shipping Method

The first step to consider when shipping a car overseas is choosing a shipping method. You can ship your car across the ocean by choosing a method that suits your budget and requirements, with the most commonly sought options being RORO and container.

Roll-On, Roll-Off (RORO)

RORO is a favorable method to ship vehicles internationally. RORO is an ideal option to choose for your vehicle to ensure safe and timely delivery.

Container Shipping

Container shipping is more expensive than RORO but if you're shipping an exotic or extremely high value vehicle you may prefer this method.

Step 2 – Submit Documents

After choosing a method of shipping, you need to submit certain documents including personal identification, like your driver's license or passport. We will email you a booking packet with instructions to fill out and return to us.

Step 3 – Inspect the Vehicle

When shipping your car overseas, it is important to perform a thorough inspection. Maintain your own vehicle inspection report and take pictures of pre-existing damages.

Step 4 – Choose a Payment Method

Your invoice will be sent to your email once we have confirmation that your vehicle has loaded a vessel and begun to sail. At that time, you will also receive the payment instructions.

Please fill out the quote request or call 1-904-356-4455 in our office to discuss about your shipping and insurance needs.
